Re: New PDF Previewer
:) Just use right click (RMB in my second screenshot above) on the Quick Viewer toolbar I don't know what the "Quick Viewer toolbar" is, in order to then right-click on it??? I have a "toolbar" (whatever it's called) which I've customized. Is this the "Quick Viewer toolbar&...

Re: New PDF Previewer
Well, I certainly feel ignorant, but it almost seems we're using different versions of the program. I show NOTHING on my Settings or Customize Action Toolbars that looks like your screenshots. I cannot find ANYTHING that you show in your screenshots, in my own world. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2...

Re: New PDF Previewer
In version 691 - Implemented: "Windows preview" mode in the internal viewer added (no plugins needed for pdf and all office documents). It works starting with Vista. Ah! Don't forget, folks, to customize the QuickView Toolbar and add the new "Windows Preview" button! Ok, I conce...

Re: Isn't RAR supposed to show as folder, like ZIP?
So the "archiver plugins" (which apparently support both ZIP/JAR/WAR and RAR) are only to provide expansion in the details pane? Instead, only ZIP and CAB deserve "folder" presentation in the tree pane? Seems very inconsistent. I can't imagine justification for why at the least Z...

Re: Isn't RAR supposed to show as folder, like ZIP?
Anybody??
What do you show with RAR files? Do you see a "folder" in the tree pane (same as ZIP shows) or not?
I'm certain both ZIP and RAR were intended to behave the same, but they're not.

Isn't RAR supposed to show as folder, like ZIP?
Aren't RAR files supposed to be presented as folders in the Explorer Tree pane, which when selected are then supposed to show the expanded contents in the Details pane... exactly the same as with ZIP files? Doesn't happen. What am I doing wrong? http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/537/07Eau...

Re: 682: HELP doesn't display content??
Check the info in the ReadMe_XE.txt. That did it. Properties -> UNBLOCK. Is there a reason it's distributed this way, as BLOCKED? Or is there no way to alter the distribution technique to avoid this security blockage? I honestly would NEVER have dreamed of looking in ReadMe_XE.txt for the answer to...

Re: Can I see file sizes in BYTES, like used to be the case?
Ok... just found the answer myself, looking at another install environment on another machine where this DOES display in bytes. Turns out it's squirreled away in Column Profiles, and I have to get into settings for the default profile, uncheck the "size auto" column, check the "size b...

Can I see file sizes in BYTES, like used to be the case?
Some kind of brain event... For some reason, my file sizes are showing up as KB or MB or GB, when I want to see actual number of bytes. The file size column heading shows "size auto", but because I can't get HELP to work I don't know if this is a setting I need to change somewhere and if s...

682: HELP doesn't display content??
Is it something I've done, or does HELP not work in Donor x64 682? Downloaded the latest XE Help English file, and unzipped it into \Program Files. It's dated 1/8/2015, so it's obviously very current. But it doesn't seem to work. All I can see is the list of topics. No content appears. What have I d...

Re: FC-Copy or FC-Move Problem
If you are still using build 650, please try installing the latest public beta version 665.
Does the problem still exist when using version 665?

Re: how to compare files in flat view
yeah, I know there is a myriad FREE comparison tools like winmerge and freefilesync just to mention some. For file by file binary comparison I usually use a FREE hex editor. What you cannot do with the tools above nor with your suggestion (afaik) is a flat view file (CRC) comparison. I don't think ...

Re: how to compare files in flat view
Just in passing, I mention that I don't use FCXE for "folder/file compare" functionality. I realize that there are many ways to skin a cat, and this cat in particular where many 3rd-party products do folder/file compares with assorted presentation designs. In my own experience I prefer the...

Re: Adding Custom Buttons to Splitter Bar
Now that I see what a "splitter" is and that it can hold additional buttons, I don't see why I should waste additional screen space to put some buttons on this "splitter" I find the Splitter bar very useful for these buttons (at least): Copy, Move and Compare. There is no need t...
