Hide Action Toolbar not working
Hi all...I have two similar queries. I want to hide the Actions toolbar with all the large icons. I tried View > Show > uncheck Show toolbars. It worked until I closed and opened FreeCommander again. The Actions toolbar came back. I could permanently hide it in an older version. I'm using Build 810a...

Re: Version 860 opening
Hi Dreamer,
I installed FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public. Any version later than that causes problems with odd sequence pane opening.

Re: Version 860 opening
I just installed FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public. Problem solved. The odd opening sequence in 860 may not be caused by the FreeCommander program but more how our computer parses the code. At any rate, 810a works perfectly. Both panes are displayed at the same time. Thanks for the help...

Re: Version 860 opening
I downloaded the portable version and it does the same thing. Perhaps I'll go back a couple of versions.

Re: Version 860 opening
Hi Zorkoff and Marek. Thanks for chiming in. Marek, I'm using "FreeCommander XE 2022 Build 860 32-bit public." I took a snapshot of the path info. I'd like to attach it but I don't see how with this forum software. I have the screen shot in .png format. According to the link you sent, the ...

Version 860 opening
Hi all and Happy New Year! I just updated from the earlier Version 790. When I opened 790, the left and right panes opened simultaneously and instantly. With 860, the right pane opens, filling the entire screen for about 2 seconds, and then the left tree opens. I know it's knit-picking but it is als...

Version 860 Left pane not expanding
I just installed version 860 from 790. In the Start program > Start folder, I set a path. The right pane shows the correct path but the left pane doesn't expand the tree. It's always stuck at This PC. I saved my previous settings from the old version and then resorted them after the 860 update. Why ...

Re: File sort order
It works! I set the sort order to Type->Ascending in the Default folder. All's well now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Re: File sort order
Thanks Dreamer. I'll check into this. My main problem is the sort order not being remembered. I have to click the Type and Name columns manually each time the program is opened. Let me give your idea a go. Thanks again!

Re: File sort order
I think you're right Freeman. I checked but don't see a way to sort columns. You can only set conditions with "if" and "then" statements.

Re: File sort order
Thanks FreeMan. I do that too but when I close the program and open it again, the Names are all sorted from Z to A. It doesn't remember the sort order. No big deal if the program won't remember the order. I still love this much better than the MS garbage!!!

File sort order
Hi team, I'm loving this program so much over File Explorer. I have the Tree set up so I only see the files I want. All the other MS bloatware such as Desktop, Pictures, Documents, 3D Objects etc...are all hidden. I never use that crap. On to my question: when you open Free commander, in the File Pa...

Details view versus Thumbnails view
Hi all, I've set up my FC to mimic what MS File Explorer does, WITHOUT all the MS annoyances. I love this program for just that one reason! I have the Tree in the left pane and the file lists for the Tree folders in the right pane. That's all I need. However, in MS File Explorer you can have some fo...
