the term "Flat View" is trademarked by GPSoftware and I must use an other term.

Please check the option "Max. column width for list view" under Settings->File/Folder list.

You need to transfer the following files for the version 2009.02 (if exists):
freecommander.ini
freecommander.shc
freecommander.ftp
It is important to copy the files to the proper location. You can find currently used location under Help->About...

For filter you can set the address bar color text: Extras->Settings->Address bar.

AutoCloseTimeContextMenu64Bit works too in the [Form] section of the freecommander.ini for FreeCommander XE.

Have you tried Extras->Save settings? Is your folder with settings (the location of the freecommandr.ini you can check under Help->About) writable?
