So you didn't try the registry change?
When you use FC, do you run as administrator? If not then forget it. If so, do the registry change.

Re: FC fails to load network shares
Do you run FC with admin privileges?

Re: .PNG format and Quick View
Fixed. Yes, out-of-date ielib64.dll.
Latest portable 773 had file date earlier than current file so not copied over when doing Beyond Compare comparison between existing and new files.
Thanks

.PNG format and Quick View
Why doesn't FC show PNG file images in the Quick View panel?
The panel shows:
Loading error...
File format is not supported.
It's not as though it's a new format and I'm increasingly using it over JPG.

Re: mapped Network drive only appears if open File Explorer
Are you running FreeCommander with Administrative privileges? Is it Elevated? If so I have a probable fix. Run RegEdit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/System and create a new DWORD entry with the name EnableLinkedConnections and value 1: After you’ve a...

763 no tree
Dual pane, horizontal split. Top pane has no tree and whatever I do can't get the icon or menu item to show tree.
Tree is shown on lower pane.
Also happens if I switch to vertical panes.
Gone back to 762.

Re: Double click to edit a filename in the list sometimes doesn't work well
I've had this for a very long time - only with this program. A slow double click to rename a file works as expected elsewhere.
Sometimes I just have to click on something else and then start again regulating my clicks slowly and deliberately to get it to rename.

Re: FCXE64 751 vs 749: Toolbar Height Is (Still) Now Doubled
Yes, I have this on all systems from XP to Windows 7, 32-bit and 64-bit. The menu bar is double height and also all the toolbars containing icons.
Happens when "Show menu as toolbar" is selected

Re: External program for folder comparison
There's no better than Beyond Compare for disk, file and folder comparison. In FreeCommander I have a Favourite Tool set up to call Beyond Compare with the Parameters "%LeftSel% %RightSel%". I have a folder or disk or file in both panes selected and then click on the toolbar button. Beyond...

Re: 723 Clicking to rename
I have this with 32- and 64-bit versions, Windows XP and Windows 7.
It is really bad at times, such as today, where no amount of clicking will select the filename.
