Re: FCXE 32 and 64 with same settings
I keep them in separate directories, side by side. The 32 bit XE uses the 64 bit settings, because my fcStart.ini file stores that settings folder path. There is no Settings folder in my 32 bit XE.

Re: FCXE 32 and 64 with same settings
I just set the settings folder path for the 32 bit test version to be the same as my main 64 bit version in Settings/Start program/Configuration folder/Following folder (relative paths are accepted).

Also, you can save both folder panes as favorites at the same time (Use left/right panel option):

Re: Savinng space in title bars in Horizontal Split
A lot of space is taken up by the button bar of drives. I need this bar, but I'd like to be able to make it less tall, so it won't take up as much space. In 717 you can add your drive buttons directly in the Action toolbar (and then you can disable the drives bar). http://i.imgur.com/ziOLAZw.png Sp...

Re: Newly installed FC loading infinitely
@ttc: I don't want to see the issue, I want to see the layout (tabs/panes/trees etc.), maybe there is a clue there.

Maybe you activated Linked browsing (under Folder menu).

Re: Newly installed FC loading infinitely
Would like you to try the portable version (extract the files in a folder not on system's partition), using default settings, to see if this still happens: link.

Re: Why can't I sort on a column in Plain View??
Yes, you're right, it doesn't work as expected. It does sort the list, but it does it folder by folder (as if it's not in plain view mode), so it's no use... Workaround: use an image manager like XNView (free, portable); you can select all found files and copy them anywhere. http://i.imgur.com/ZPbQ0...

Re: Tree columns
You just follow the instructions from the help file and delete the columns you don't need (use the icon with the red X on it).
Maybe you can post a screenshot for us to see exactly what you want to achieve.

Re: ApphelpSoftBlock missing Windows component
FC 2009 is not supported anymore. Use FC XE.
