848: First "new folder tab" (when none currently exists) LOSES TREE!!

As discussed in my original other thread from last year , I normally operate WITHOUT ANY TABS. I simply have one panel or two panels (vertical split screen, over/under) with an address bar. Then I navigate either panel to wherever else I want to go (thus of course immediately losing access to where ...

Re: Icons for toolbars and menus

I agree. I would like to be able to have the old icons available. My biggest gripe regards the RENAME icons (both for an individual file as well as the other one for "mass rename"). With the larger older icons you could clearly see the difference between these two (which is a relatively sm...

Re: 846: F5/F6 from smart phone (S21 Ultra) "selected items cannot be copied"

Indeed. My settings for COPY and MOVE were both set to "use windows". When I changed this to "use Free Commander" the F5/F6 operations now worked properly. ==> now FOR SURE seems like a bug to me. I would expect that F5/F6 should work properly no matter which method is set for CO...

846: F5/F6 from smart phone (S21 Ultra) "selected items cannot be copied"

This problem has been around for a long time, through many older versions of FCXE. I'm finally reporting it now at 846. Also, although I'm describing the problem for copy/move of photos (since that's the most likely thing to want to copy/move from phone to PC) it is also true of ANY FILE that I want...

Re: What "color" in Win10 (or FCXE) is used for these three items?

I have emerged victorious. Turns out an actual reboot was needed to bring in that new "scrollbar" color object. So now that I've rebooted, sure enough the scrollbar, status bar, and inactive address bar are the proper desired (and theoretically default) 200 200 200 color, i.e. very light g...

Re: What "color" in Win10 (or FCXE) is used for these three items?

I believe it is the "scrollbar" item in HKCU\Control Panel\Colors (default value 200 200 200) and HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop\Colors (default value 212 208 200) which are responsible for these three items. Turns out in HKCU\Control Panel\Colors there was NO "scrollbar" item at all...

What "color" in Win10 (or FCXE) is used for these three items?

I'm building out a new Win10 PC and have not had success solving a color problem in FCXE, even though I'm using the exact set of \Settings files on both machines. I suspect the two FCXE items are colored from Win10 colors rather than from a setting in FCXE itself (unless I'm wrong). In particular, I...

834: TREE lost on non-focus panel

Don't know if this occurs for LEFT/RIGHT split-screen view, but it absolutely is happening for me with TOP/BOTTOM split-screen view. I have "one tree per panel" checked for both (a) File System tree, and (b) Favorite Items tree. Here's how to demonstrate the failure. Again, TOP/BOTTOM spit...

Re: I give up. Can't figure out how to change color (e.g. Address Bar)

I see no problem with color selection. If you use "More Colors..." button then after selection the color in the additional dialog (Windows standard dialog) you should click on selected color in the first dialog: SelectColor(2).png AHA!!! I had no idea. There's no mention of this critical ...

Re: I give up. Can't figure out how to change color (e.g. Address Bar)

I have no possibillity to check Win 7, but you have to put RGB values (138, 240, 101) in the fields on the right R=red, G=green, B=blue). You're absolutely correct. I'm misspeaking. When I casually use the term RGB I'm really referring to that custom color palette which allows setting a color using...

Re: I give up. Can't figure out how to change color (e.g. Address Bar)

(3) So, I then change the RGB values for Win7 TREE selection to match the values for Win10: 138, 240, 101. (g) Win7 TREE selection changed RGB before OK https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/3830/OetIBl.jpg (h) Win7 TREE selection after OK, close, re-launch (unchanged) https://imagizer.imageshack.c...

Re: I give up. Can't figure out how to change color (e.g. Address Bar)

Ok. I've now managed to get my Address Bar color changed by selecting the "active caption" and "inactive caption" items in the lower part of the color palette, which for some reason then resulted in my OK to apply the RGB color values to actually take effect. Previously I was doi...

Re: I give up. Can't figure out how to change color (e.g. Address Bar)

Well, I've figured out how to get the color change to "stick". But I'm certain this shouldn't be the method that was intended. Obviously the program is not doing what I think it should be doing the straightforward way. If you look at the initial color palette presented, it looks like this:...

Re: I give up. Can't figure out how to change color (e.g. Address Bar)

But wait. That's really not the question. I don't want to have to learn all about color schemes (good as that might be), in order to use a single simple basic function that actually should be working. So, it appears I've found how to see what the RGB value is in my old INI, and the displayed color m...

I give up. Can't figure out how to change color (e.g. Address Bar)

I yield. No idea how to actually change colors, for example of the Address Bar, selected folder in the Tree, etc. Each item in Settings has a "color/font" tab, but for the life of me I don't know how to utilize what's on that dialog. And the HELP does not provide step-by-step instructions ...
