Is there a way to enter multiple search strings in the ALT+F7 Search Files and Folders function?

Example: I want to find all ini files on C drive that have the text "\\server\c$\Windows" and "\\server\c$\Documents and Settings" and "\\server\d$\Documents and Settings".

I think an option to remove the tile bar and therefore increasing the amount of space for data displayed would be fantastic.

I believe FC has reached the stage where it has so many options that it could be overwhelming for the novice user (and lets face it we were all there one day). I don't think it is possible through program settings. I suggest you put it through as a bug.

Hi solipsist The closest I can get to your need for the extensions to be listed separately is to create custom columns (View->Custom Columns). Add Name with left alignment and Extension with right alignment. As for changing the assignment for F6, go to Extras->Keyboard shortcuts and make your change...

Most of this is already done with entries in the Folder 1 and Folder 2 toolbars (Extras->Settings->View->Toolbar). Entries not shown here can be added to the Favorite folder option. However I do agree it would be nice to add the missing folders and perhaps even combine the "special" folder...

Thanks ralfso however the thing is I forget what each colour represents. The other thing is what happens when two or more of the attributes are true - what colour is used then.

The tooltips displaying the attribrutes would resolve the issue.

Ralfso is right to say this can be slow. If it is only one or two folders you need to know the size of then you can use CTRL-F9 with those folders highlighted.

I have set different colours to indicate what attributes are set against the files and folders (Hidden, Read Only and so on). The problem I have is I forget what colours I have set for what and when I install FC on a new machine I do not have the colours configured. What I thought would be great was...

Create a new category this way:
In Fav tools, click in a white space and then the create icon.
With the new category highlighted, click in the items pane (should be empty) and create the items as normal.

You may need the current version to do this.

I have been using FC for about 12 months now and can not get into my head the "Computer..." icon calls the computer management MSC file.

What I would like to do is rename this icon (and some others) to better reflect my way of thinking.
