I had the same failure with old Oracle dlls. With current dlls I have not the error.

There is "Favorites" item in main menu and favorites tree (Alt+F).

Anyway, I would much prefer not to have that waste of space unless I'm doing something that requires a second text line or maybe a progress indicator there. So, is there any chance of my getting rid of that extra space?

Have you checked the settings first? Settings - Status bar - Wrappable.

It is not the path, it is only the tab title/info.

So, in order to remedy my situation, I have to change the toolbar button from copy to copy with dialog then set my copy options, and the change the toolbar buttons back. Hmmm.. Methinks this isn't too intuitive.

You can simply select the action from menu: File - Copy; File - Copy with dialog.

There are two types of copy actions: "Copy" and "Copy with dialog". Try to use "Copy with dialog".

Have you tried the option:

Settings - Tree - Management: Show floppy drives (a:,b:)

Have you defined font color for Settings->Status bar: General.
Quick filter inherits this color. With QuickFilterUseParentFont=1 works fine for me.

I agree, it would be better to have the possibility to choice the option for "Overwrite decision" but till today all versions of FC works with "Overwrite all" option. So I think it is no surprise for the users.

First you must be sure your freecommander.ini is writeable.

Sorry, it was not exactly. The shortcuts are saved in the freecommander.shc.

- right click on splitter and select 'Customize toolbar...'
- set the option for splitter toolbar 'Use big icons'
- set the button size to min. 32

Select one line in the status bar settings, e.g. "FcDefault_0". Open the details dialog (hammer button) and define the font colors for each field.
