Re: 612 - Double click with full row selection

I don't remember -- is this different than in previous versions? That is, did a double-click work anywhere in a row before 612? Click-and-drag requires a click ON the file name, even with full-row select enabled (see for example http://www.forum.freecommander.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4211#p14916 ...

Re: Opened file(through FC) not visible in Win7 "last used f

Just a note: Files opened from FC appear in the "Recent Items" list in Win7. That being the case, I don't understand what the problem is if they are not also listed in "Last Used." I am doubtful that this is actually a "bug" in FC. It may be that the "Last Used&quo...

Re: Create symbolic links or junctions instead of copy.

... FAR does support them, what's wrong with FreeCommander? It's not that there's anything "wrong" with FC, but that Marek has many features and priorities to work on. For me personally, creating symlinks is not a high-priority for FC because I hardly ever need to do it -- maybe once a ye...

Re: NTFS hardlinks and junctions

The possibility to create hardlinks of files and junctions of folders across the active and inactive Freecommander folders would be greatly appreciated. ... Using fsutil doesn't work, because it needs administrative privileges... :-( I suspect that creating folder symlinks will always require admin...

612 [FIXED] Shadow Sorted Column doesn't work

Beginning in 612, Shadow Sorted Column (in View > File/Folder List > Sorting) has no effect -- no shadow appears when the box is checked. It worked in previous versions.

Re: Wrong Search results in build 609

By the way, as I explained before, "Search in archives" showing at the same level than "Search in subfolder up to level..." might be interpreted as an "inclusive" option rather than "exclusive" (in fact I did). Shouldn't it be presented in another, less confu...

Re: Wrong Search results in build 609

I actually thought ticking that option meant that search should include archives also . Yes, checking that box means "include archives also ." What Marek was explaining is that your search was slower because it searched in archive files in addition to a regular files. Clearing that box wi...

Re: Open PDF files: problems?

I can open PDF files without a problem by double-clicking on them.
But if I use F3 View, then I get a File Download dialog "Do you want to save or open this file?" -- which is strange. This has been going on for many of the past releases. (FC 611, Win7/64)

You can also try the free CS Diff http://www.componentsoftware.com/produc ... /index.htm
I use it for comparing .doc files, but I've never tried it for .docx.

Re: Color of Focused Item bar covered by Sorted Column color

I'm bumping this up to refresh it in the list. The problem is that the Sorted Column color overrides the Focused Item color. I consider the latter to be more important for recognizing, selecting, and acting on objects than the former -- particularly when the sort is by name (as it is most often for ...

Re: what is fccontextmenu64 in systray

I think the system tray is only there for now during the BETA phase so we all can see that it is working and running and have the opportunity to conveniently end its process. That is my understanding as well, based on posts elsewhere by Marek. How to disable the systray icon of fccontextmenu64? I d...

Re: Apps key not working

I don't have a solution, but it may help to report what happens on my computer (FCXE 611, Win7/64). - Both a right-click and what you call the AppsKey open the same context menu in FCXE -- likewise in Windows Explorer (WE). Call this menu A. - Shift+F10 opens a different context menu in FCXE -- most...
