Re: "Search in archives" does not work for "*.docx" etc.
1. I know that I could use converters (in the donor version), but external tools may not always be available (e.g. if I start FC from stick on other PCs), and starting external tools slow down the search, so searching in office documents simply as archive should also be supported. 1.1 The "Conv...

"Search in archives" does not work for "*.docx" etc.
1. The FC search does not find text in e.g. "*.docx", "*.xlsm", even if "Search in archives" is enabled, and even if I enter "*" or "*.docx" in "Archive files filter:". If I extract the "*.docx", "*.xlsm" with 7z and rep...

Re: New folder should allow path with more than one director
I just tested this with FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 724 64-bit-donor (in Win7-64 pro SP1) and the error is still not fixed .

Disable of "Auto add wildcards" does not work
I disabled "Auto add wildcards" in "Quick Filter" settings, entered *.iso in quick filter, but see lots of e.g. "*.iso.md5" (same as with "Auto add wildcards" enabled). I also tried "*.iso" (with double quotes) - which I would prefer as possibility t...

Re: Problems with quick view: show at least title, use deny-
I tested FreeCommanderXE-donor_portable703 and recognized that the splitter is red now, if the panel is invisible (if the splitter is all down or all right). This is surely a nice feature, but not the solution for my problem with invisible quick view. I think there should be an option to set differe...

Re: New folder should allow path with more than one director
But it does not work here from context menu "New -> Folder" in file panel (in List mode): A\B\C gives error message (both with and without ""): --------------------------- FreeCommander --------------------------- The name is not valid. Not Allowed Characters: -------------------...

New folder should allow path with more than one directory
"New -> Folder" from context prompts for a name, so in contrast to Windows Explorer it should be possible to allow to create more than one directory in a single operation. E.g. instead of "New -> Folder", "A", <Enter>, <Enter>, "New -> Folder", "B", ...

Problems with quick view: show at least title, use deny-none
I (and other users) had the problem, that quick view was accidentally enabled, which leads to error messages if I want to save changed file form external editor. I suggest the following improvements: 1. At least the title line of enabled quick view should always be visible, or the split position sho...

Re: Selected file locked
Thanks - it was indeed an invisible quick view panel. I will report found problems and improvement request for quick view as new topic.

Selected file locked
On my Win7-64-PC in the office FreeCommanderXE keeps the selected file opened. So if I open it from FreeCommander via Edit button (SynWrite configured as editor), I can't save the changed file, unless I go back to FreeCommander and select some other file - this is very annoying. I stopped the virus ...

Re: "New Folder" generates dir with wrong name in FC v685
OK - so no additional info needed from my side. I think I will use v650 and hope that we must not wait very long for next version.

"New Folder" generates dir with wrong name in FC v685
Error with FC v685, (same actions works without problem in v650): In folder "C:\Users\Hans\Documents\very_long_dir_____________________________1\very_long_dir_____________________________2\very_long_dir_____________________________3" (still not too long, "only" ~155 chars) I use ...

Auto hide folder tree for network needed
I normally need/use the folder tree display for navigation, but for network shares it takes very long to show and FreeCommander is not responding during this update. Best solution would be to update folder tree in the background (see "Uncouple "File/folder list" from folder tree updat...

Uncouple "File/folder list" from folder tree updated
I like/need the view with favourites, tree and "file/folder list". Big disadvantage is, that if I change to network directories, the "file/folder list" hangs until tree is updated, which can take many, many seconds, even if I select "Use FreeCommander for network loading&quo...

Crash accessing tsclient drive via "Computer"
- PC1 -> RemoteDesktop with sharing of local drive D: -> PC2 - Start FC on PC2 via RemoteDesktop - Shared Drive shows up in "Computer" (::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}) and in network under "tsclient" - If I open this drive via "Computer" FC crashes directly or...
