AFAIK, it is possible to open all selected files when cursor is on any item, even on not selected. Please try again.

AFAIK, there are only 2 possibilities, you can change it here:

Settings > folder tabs > tab general > tab position > [ ] multi-line?

BTW #7 is not a critical bug, I'm not sure if fixing this one doesn't create other bugs, as before. Marek wants to release the final version soon (probably before Xmas), so it's on him if he try to fix it now, or later - on beta (not public) version. I'd be for option two.
