Allow <Backspace> for configuring the keyboard shortcut for Folder-Root. Then <Ctrl +Backspace> could go to the Root folder, parallel to the default <Backspace> going to the parent folder.

Search or quick filter for keyboard shortcuts would indeed be very helpful. Add my vote! I've spent a lot of time searching up and down the Define Shortcuts dialog -- rather ironic considering that the end goal is to save time with the customization.

F5 is a standard shortcut for File Copy among Orthodox File Managers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_manager

So there is indeed consistency in using F5 -- it just depends on what you are comparing it to.

The dialog boxes for Define Shortcuts are operative and I can assign new shortcuts. However, all customizations are forgotten after closing FC. The next time I start FC, all shortcuts have returned to their default assignments.
