I've been unable to add more separators (than one) in this menu.
Either the new one stays and the old one vanishes or the new one never appears.

File search goes in the background
When I view a file with F3 from the file search result list, after closing the view the FC window comes in foreground instead of the file search window.

Well, I did. Same behavior. Here's more precise description: Run FC View a text file. Either with the internal viewer or the Universal Viewer Open the same file with UltraEdit. Edit the file and save - it's OK. Checked in FC that the bak file is created. Edit some more and try to save. UE gives an e...

I think the following is a similar problem: I get error from UltraEdit (assigned to my F4 key) when trying to save a file which is also viewed within FC. UltraEdit says : Error creating backup file. This is an option of UE. With FC not viewing the file - no problem. After this a whole chain of bug e...

we should look for other alternatives. Politically, it would be pleasant to have one that is available on multiple platforms. It would make easier to migrate to other platforms, if someone would come up with the unlikely idea to like to do so. Yes, I'm currently looking at DoubleCommander. Unfortun...

It's a really interesting decision, especially on the Microsoft Windows platform 8) Well, yes. Of course Windows is Windows but who said that you should continue paying for software once you got Windows. Furthermore, most PCs/Laptops come preinstalled with Windows. Most people don't have a choice. ...

Actually I initially turned to FreeCommander after using TotalCommander for a long time because I thought it was open source. Recently, I decided to stick to open source / GPL software and throw away any proprietary stuff. I was really disappointed to find out that I have to pay to be able to use th...

This is really very helpfull. Indeed other project utilize such ideas to manage user wish lists. I have also seen a 10-item list of such feature made by the developer himself with ratings ( 1 to 10) showing his estimate of how ease/difficult (or time consuming) it will be for him to implement the fe...

Copy full filepath
Hi, there is already a really useful button which copies the current path to the clipboard. Even better would be if there was an option (button, shortcut, etc.) to copy the full path + filename of the currently selected (or the active, if more than one is selected) file to the clipboard. Would very ...

2 more favourite folders options
I have suggestions for two more options when defining favorite folders:
1) Option whether to open the folder in a new tab
2) Allow to switch the option to open in the Active or Inactive panel but to set it to open in the left panel or in the right panel.
