If you mean the version 2009.02b, then simply try XE. I see no problem in XE for png.

Maybe some problem with your TEMP path.
Go to "Settings - Start program: Start/TEMP folder" and define your own temp folder for FC.
You could show us the screenshot with the editor definition "Settings - Programs - Editors".

- Go to "Customize toolbar..."
- On the splitter toolbar change your copy command to "Copy with dialog"
If you like the same dialog as in 2009.02b you should use "Use Windows" for copy operations (Settings - File/folder operations).
