Re: slow double-click to rename

Unfortunately this problem persists in Build 804 32-bit public beta of FC [on Windows 10 Enterprise x64 18362.356] And on top of that I have just noticed that this issue manifests itself in another way. When I try to copy a Tab from one Panel to another [by simply left clicking it and then while hol...

Re: Auto Resize Columns - Is disable possible?

[...] So the problem is: when switching to Detailed View I have to adjust the size of columns by hand or press Shift+Ctrl+Num+ + to do it automatically. But the change is not remembered [...] I forgot that it is even worse than that Even when not in Detailed View [i.e. CTRL + F1] I do not get anymo...

Show folder in both Panels - an error and a question

Description available at https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/Keyboardshortcuts.html says Same folder in both windows Ctrl+E which is simply not true. Because what it does is this: it shows in the Inactive Panel the same folder as in the Active Panel. And that correct description from the previous ...

Saved Settings should be selectable in form of a sub-menu

We have a sub-menu for Color Schemes - so that we can switch quickly between different ones. Becasue user might have a one for working at night and the other for working during the day. And they can be named by the user What about overall settings? Why cannot they be in the same form? Right now we h...

Re: ColorSchemas are not removed after restoration of settings

I can't confirm this in build 800 donor. Are you using any color scheme before you backup the settings? If not, perhaps the option is missing and it's a bug, but if you use any scheme first, even default white, then it should be OK. I found another bug, I'll create a new topic. This happens also in...

Re: Slow opening from Favorite Toolbar on Windows 10

I am now convinced that this is the solely the fault of my Windows 10- after over 3 months of using it the evidence is overwhelming. I have some system level issues with applying memory resources to tasks and enqueuing them I red something about that Microsoft in the November Update there are going ...

Re: Copy folder structure

Another method / workaround:

just copy everything and then when being in the destined location press
1] CTRL + B
2] CTRL + A
3] Delete

It is time and [for the time being] space consuming, but does not require messing with the options

Re: Identify the number and replace it by counter

I see that it could be useful

But the user would have to point out which number is to be turned into a Counter, as the file might have more than one; e.g.

File 10 version 3
Collection 3 subset 432 - description of content

Re: laggish UI - panels

I also have this problem; now on my slow Windows 10 Enterprise x64 18362. But: A] I thought that it was just another manifestation of my Windows 10 being laggish in overall; or that it was coming out from the fact that I was unable to install dedicated drivers to my graphics card B] I see such black...

Re: Can file names be transfered to other files?

I think you want to select your files, press CTRL + M and in the Setting tab navigate to File Extension box; but I am not sure if it is what you are after

[...] I guess I'm looking for a lazy file browser: just move the bar in the left column, maybe with the up-down-arrows, and get the file names in the right column. Re: I Discovered a Technique to Compare one Entire Sub-tree to a Second one.

And to find differences you can combine ALT + V with CTRL + B

I use it when I have some files in location A that I need to get removed from location B and do not wish to look for them on a file-by-file basis by the means of CTRL + F
