What do No Theme settings do?

I have been working on the FCXE strings file (eng), and there are two related items that I don't understand. The first is "No theme" in Settings>Select item>General and the other is "No theme" in Settings>View>File/folder list>General What does those settings do, and how are they different from each...

Text label field too short

FCXE Build 685 Public 32-bit

One of the text label fields in the Settings window is too small to fix the text, causing it to be truncated.

The field correlated to string ID #35236, and is located near the top in Settings>Programs>Default action

Change Case non-functional

FCXE Build 685 Public 32-bit

The Change Case button is non-functional. I'm not sure if it is broken or just not implemented at this time. BTW, would be great to have a button just to change case of extension without touching filenames.

Re: Access to network drives unbearably slow

I see FCXE infrequently doing this to me as well on various folders, local and network. It is annoying but I put up with it for the advantages/features that FCXE provides. However it is not doing it to me with some folders that match your description i.e. network sub-folder with lots of sub-folders...

Which would be better: separate files or having [TfcViewerForm_Plugins32] and [TfcViewerForm_Plugins64] sections in the existing ini file?
Implemented with [TfcViewerForm_Plugins] and [TfcViewerForm_Plugins64]
Thanks, Marek. I like that way too.

Re: Close Quick viewer pane with button inside the pane

There is a workaround, you can create the "Quick view panel" button for the main toolbar, splitter bar, or address bar, then use it to toggle - open/close quick viewer. Thank you for your workaround ideas, Dreamer. Lol... My original post was much longer, and I truncated it because I felt it was TL...

Re: Drive letter A: and B: not displayed?

Many thanks, joby_toss, ... Well, well, the drive letters were (and still are) not shown in every program (it is not right, what I said), but in Mini Tool Partition Wizard they were not displayed as well. In the Win 7 program (to partition, format etc.) these letters are shown. Why is it like that?...

+1 Don't know if it's possible, but the idea has great merit.

Close Quick viewer pane with button inside the pane

When the Quick viewer pane is enabled, it would be great to be able to close the pane by pressing a Close (or toggle) button from within the pane. I tried adding [x]=actViewQuickView;tbsButton;;;0;;0;0;0 with the appropriate value of [x] into the required ini sections, but it didn't work. The close ...

Re: [TfcViewerForm_Plugins] in separate ini-file

For everyday use I am using the 64-bit donor version. For testing purposes in cases of trouble, I need to transfer settings from XE32 to XE64 and vice versa. But the plugin files are different. Therefore, please, put the [TfcViewerForm_Plugins] settings into a separate ini-file. Thank you very much...

Re: Can't create New Folder on MTP device

Date/time created and modified is the same, if you mean this, of course also the EXIF date/time. Don't know if it's the same for all smartphones, tested with Samsung Galaxy S3 and Win 7 x64. That's great news, thanks. I've spent many hours testing a variety of applications, and none of them preserv...

Re: Network share timeouts?

Sure, but I don't think these settings matter more than the network configuration (stations number, servers, routers, switches, firewalls etc.)... Thanks Joby. I'll take a look at it and do some testing (will take some time). I've set up a set up a simple test network to test it all out. I set up a...

Re: Can't create New Folder on MTP device

Have you found a way to transfer files over WiFi between Windows and Android that does not lose the timestamp of each file? MyPhoneExplorer portable for Windows and app for Android. Thanks! I'll check it out. To confirm, it maintains timestamps between Android and Windows? To date, I haven't been a...
