Hello,
some digicams only show up as a device in Windows Explorer. They are not mapped to a drive letter.
I couldn't find out how it would be possible to access these digicams from within FreeCommander.
Is this possible?
(Win 10, 1903, 64-bit, FC 797)

Re: 796 - Opening PDFs sometimes crashes FC
Can't see anything special here. Characters are [a-zA-Z], fifth level of directories, complete path (including 4+3 chars for filename) is 72.
And I can't reproduce it. Still, it happens now and then.
Not sure what NC mode looks like. I have a tree on the left and the directory content on the right ...

[fixed] 796 - Opening PDFs sometimes crashes FC
Sometimes when I open multiple PDFs (two files is enough), FC simply closes itself (without error message).
I was able to reproduce the problem afterwards some times, but then all of a sudden not anymore (within minutes).

[solved] 794 - Search doesn't find umlauts in utf-8 files
Steps to reproduce:
- Place the attaced text file into any directory
- Search for "ümlaut" in that directory
The search should find the file, but it returns nothing.

Re: UNC-paths are displayed with "1:" instead of the server name
This would also remove the drive letter in other cases which is undesired.

Allow filtering for directories without using a Reusable Filter
At the moment, it's only possible to filter directories by using a Reusable Filter which has to be defined first.
Would be very nice to have a "Apply for" dropdown just like in the Reusable Filter settings also for the "Set filter" dialog.

Hover over inactive directory tab should show close button
At the right end of an active directory tab, there is a "X" to close the tab. This X isn't shown when the tab is inactive.
It would be good if the X was temporarily shown when the user moves the mouse over that part of a tab. With that, a user could more easily close a tab.
