Address bar context menu and mini-buttons

I suggest these changes/additions to address bar context menu: - move "copy to clipboard" item above "sort by", it will be the 1st item - 2nd item - edit path - 3rd item - add path from clipboard * - 4th item - root - 5th item - go up - then the list of all drives (a: c: d: e: f: ...) (not as a sub-...

Edit path at [..] item by F2

When the [..] item is selected, F2 could edit the path in address bar. It would be very intuitive shortcut, just Home and F2.

Currently F2 is useless at [..] item.

Context menu not always available

Normally, when you right click the last folder in address bar, standard context menu is shown, but... ...If the path is shortened, due to insufficient space in address bar, when you right click the last folder, the folders from up dir. is shown instead of standard context menu with items like "copy ...

Double-click to "go up" issue

"Open folder with single click" option (if enabled) is blocking this useful option (Double-click to "go up").

You can use the splitter copy button, or F5 shortcut.

...However drag&drop would be nice too, I agree. :)

"System directories" suggestions

I'd like to have ALL system folders in the same place. "System directories" would be the best place IMO. I suggest to add the Control panel to "System directories" button menu, to have all important system folders/items in the same place - and also recycle bin. Another suggestion - Display some fold...

I don't like this request. There are better options...

- [..] address bar button
- activate the "Go up" button in the main toolbar
- backspace keyboard shortcut
- click the "up" dir. in the address bar

Dreamer - thank you for the suggestion, but I don't understand. Stripes is completely different from grid lines. Stripes gives me alternating row colours in detail view. This is very interesting and I may use it but it's not the same as grey lines separating file names. It's different, but it's als...

You mean drag the file from one pane to another? If so, "move" is used if there is the same drive at the both panes. If there is another drive at the other pane, "copy" is used. This is a standard Windows behavior, tested in explorer. You can hold Ctrl while dragging to always copy the item, Shift t...

Hello, no need to edit the ini file. Check the FC Help (F1) > Special functions > Favorite tools. Thank you for your reply. However, that section of my help file makes absolutely no mention of categories. I even downloaded the newest version of the help file from the downloads section, Online help ...

I wasn't aware of the stripes feature, but it's very nice. However, the problem is with the display of the grid lines, and the problem persists even with alternating background colours (stripes) on. But you wouldn't need the grid in this case, so try to use "stripes" and disable grid option. It's j...

Hello, no need to edit the ini file. Check the FC Help (F1) > Special functions > Favorite tools. Category icon is missing there, but it's possible. Select the category, then click the "sub-button" at the "Add to list" button ( [v] ) and select "Category icon", then click the blue [v] button next to...
