Re: Problem with previewing PDF files

Dreamer wrote: 25.10.2020, 21:55 FAQ – Viewer

You can use any PDF viewer, even Sumatra, which is quite lightweight, but you have to use the install version, not portable.
Oh! I thought that the Sumatra plugin was stand-alone. Thanks for clarifying that!

Re: Problem with previewing PDF files

Hi, The fastest way to display PDF files is using the viewer from the system: Menu Tools -> Settings -> Viewer -> - Viewer (Button) -> General (tab): Include the PDF (.pdf) extension in Windows Preview box to let Windows use the internal viewer. or Include the PDF (.pdf) extension in the Internet/O...

Workaround: use the option "One viewer for both panels".
Thanks, that did the trick! I owe you a beer!

Re: Is it possible to maintain consistent size of quick view panel?

Please update first to 830. If it does not solve your problem, please send me your config files . It seems consistent now, but too small, about 3 inches. If I increase the size then exit FC, when I restart it is back to about 3 inches. Here are my settings files I just saved. Thanks for the excelle...

Is it possible to maintain consistent size of quick view panel?

The quick view panel often changes width when I open FreeCommander. I have it set to the right side. Sometimes it's about an inch wide, other times 2 or 4 inches. I'm using FC XE 2020 build 829.

Is there any way to keep it a consistent size?

The option to compare files requires an external program. Can someone please recommend some programs that might be used for this purpose?

Is it possible to access the linux wsl$ folder from Freecommander?

In File Explorer I can access my linux files in the windows subsystem linux directory below. Freecommander does not seem to be aware of \\wsl$ though.

Is there any way I can access my linux files using Freecommander?

"\\wsl$\Ubuntu-18.04"

Question regarding setting items color

Can someone tell me how to change the address bar and file headings, i.e., Name, Size Auto, etc., to a dark color? I'm going for a Windows File Explorer dark theme.

Here's a screenshot:
