Upgraded to 558 and tree font settings are still not persistent. They are "remembered" in the settings, but you have to go in and click Apply each time you restart.
EDIT: Never mind. After a few closes and restarts, the setting seems to have stuck.
Extras -> Settings -> Drives -> Show drives as popup button
Works correctly when you first set it, but if you close FCXE and then restart you get the Button Bar again even though Show drives as popup button is still set!
For complex music renaming, including being able to rename based on disc number tags, try foobar2000. For complex renaming, including where you reset the counter for each folder, try Bulk Rename Utility. FreeCommander is a big step up from Windows rename, but it can't do what either of you want ...

I found out about while Googling something about xplorer2. I don't remember exactly if it was a post on the forum or what, but I much prefer FreeCommander. I tried Directory Opus and love it, but the price is obscene. All I want is a replacement for the awful version of Explorer that ships with ...
Also, pressing CTRL+ALT++ now always leaves the longest filename cut off when manually autoresizing. Double-clicking the space between the columns does not do this. It seems to not matter what font I use...it just wants to cut an extra pixel or two ...
I concur wholeheartedly, and I'd like to add that it would be nice to have an "APPLY" button in the colors/fonts menu so tweaks can be seen immediately.
