Re: FreeCommander.ini ItemColorsByAttributes
Thanks Karol. I'm seeing odd behaviour with those settings. I don't have anything configured in Tools > Settings but the values keep changing. The ini file flips between having nothing set to having the values I indicated in my initial post. If I open and close FreeCommander a few times, I can actua...

FreeCommander.ini ItemColorsByAttributes
Can anyone tell me the purpose of the settings in the ItemColorsByAttributes section of the FreeCommander.ini? My ini file has the settings below. I'm wondering what these settings control. I searched the documentation but couldn't find any reference to these settings. [ItemColorsByAttributes] AttrC...

Release Notes in Separate Board/Group
How about putting the release notes in a separate board/group on the forums? The way the release notes are published currently, you have to search/browse through the "discussion" forum, which has a lot of posts. Having them all in one place would make them easier to find. It would also mak...

Re: Auto Collapse Categories in Favorites Tree
For anyone that might be searching for the same thing, Marek kindly pointed out that this can be achieved using the Favorites Edit dialog (Shift + Ctrl + F). If you go into the dialog, set the categories to the open/closed state you want and then clicking OK to exit, the state will be saved.

Re: Favorites Tree Category State Not Saved
It works currently only in if you save colapsed nodes in dialog Shift+Ctrl+F. Thanks Marek, tested that and it works great! I can now have categories default to closed which is exactly what I was hoping for. :-) FYI, one thing I noticed is that dragging a favorite from one category to another trigg...

Re: Favorites Tree Category State Not Saved
Here's a screenshot of what I mean. I'm trying to find a way to have categories closed by default when I launch FreeCommander. The release note seemed to indicate that the state would be remembered on close but it doesn't appear to be working.

Favorites Tree Category State Not Saved
In the release notes for version 606, it says the following: "Favorites tree - category state (expanded/collapsed) will be saved" I'm using Build 792 64-bit donor and the category state doesn't seem to be being saved. Is there a setting that needs to be enabled? FreeCommander XE preview ve...

Auto Collapse Categories in Favorites Tree
Is there a way to have "Categories" in the Favorites Tree collapsed by default when FreeComander starts? A screenshot of what I mean below.

Background Color of Select Item in Favorite Items
Selected items in the Favorite Items tree are difficult to read because the background color is too dark. The file panes are fine - it's only the Favorite Items tree that seems to have this problem. A screenshot of what I mean below. Is there a setting that will allow me to change the background col...

Re: Drag-and-Drop from FC x32 to x64 Programs
Interesting, thanks Marek. Guess I'll just have to live with the limitation for now - seems to be an issue with all 32 bit apps on Windows 10 x64. FYI, when I drag a file from FC x32 onto Notepad3, I get a message saying: "No valid filename retrieved. If dropping from a 32-bit application, plea...

Re: Drag-and-Drop from FC x32 to x64 Programs
Thanks again for all the replies Marek. Wondering if you have any further thoughts on this? I'm happy to do further tests if it will help - just let me know what I can do.

Re: Drag-and-Drop from FC x32 to x64 Programs
Drag-and-drop from Windows Explorer works fine - I'm able to drag-and-drop to all the programs I mentioned regardless of whether they're x32 or x64. The programs are all also running within the same account (and with the same permissions) so it's not a user/rights issue.

Re: Drag-and-Drop from FC x32 to x64 Programs
Thanks Marek. Is there another reason why drag-and-drop doesn't work to 64 bit apps? I test a couple of others and got the same behaviour - 32 bit apps worked but 64 bit apps didn't. SumatraPDF x32 --> works SumatraPDF x64 --> doesn't work Acrobat x32 --> works NitroPDF x64 --> doesn't works A video...

Drag-and-Drop from FC x32 to x64 Programs
Drag-and-drop from FreeCommander x32 to x64 programs doesn't work. FC x32 to other x32 programs works fine however. A video of this behaviour can be found here: FreeCommander Drag-and-Drop . It shows drag-and-drop from FC x32 working for x32 apps but not x64 apps. After a bit of Googling, it appears...
