I ran System File Checker tool (SFC.exe), and it found and corrected a corrupt file. FC is running smoothly now.

Re: 770a 64-bit donor crashing in Win10 Pro/ v. 10.0.17134
Thanks for your reply. I have checked the event logs. There are logs of the crashes, but I'm insufficiently skilled to know how to make use of the information.

Re: 770a 64-bit donor crashing in Win10 Pro/ v. 10.0.17134
After a few days, I encountered the same problem with 780 beta. It would not remain stable, and shut down spontaneously after a few minutes. I reinstalled Build 783 64-bit donor which had been stable before the 17134 build of Win10 Pro. But it is showing the same bug. It stays open for a few minutes...

I hadn't tried 780 beta. So far it seems to be holding, after an hour. Thanks - r

770a 64-bit donor crashing in Win10 Pro/ v. 10.0.17134
Hi -
770a 64-bit donor simply will not stay open in Windows 10 Pro / v. 10.0.17134 (Build 17134).
I open Free Commander. It stays up for a few minutes and then spontaneously closes.
Thanks - Ron

Re: Startup Latency
Thank for your post Dreamer. The problem you describe does sound similar. Please forgive my ignorance: is your suggestion that I open freecommander.ini and remove a line (I looked in freecommander.ini and couldn't find anything about favourite tool icons)? or should I be looking for the icons themse...

Re: Startup Latency
Hi pOpY -
Nope no open shares (as faras I know!)
The funny thing about the latency is that it's intermittent. It's not consistent.

Startup Latency
FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 740 64-bit donor / Microsoft Windows 10 Pro - 10.0.14393 Build 14393 Every time I start FC, there is a 2 - 3 minute latency. Steps: I click on the icon. Nothing occurs for 2 -3 minutes. Then the program opens. I have no similar issue with any other application. Thanks.
