# Adobe and the Preview Pane

Adobe updated on the 5/7/2022. There is now a toolbar on the preview pane and it seems to take much longer to present a preview, sometimes not at all. Additionally if # is used in the filename, e.g.c# - you get a directory listing or 'file not found'. It is true that # is technically an illegal char...

Re: Quick view panel stopped displaying PDF's with Acrobat DC 64 bit

As stated the preview pane now works.
Clearly it was Adobe's problem and affected only 32 bit programs such as the FreeCommander 32bit donor version.
So all is good now.

Re: Quick view panel stopped displaying PDF's with Acrobat DC 64 bit

My Acrobat DC 64 Bit has just been updated to 21.007.20099 and the preview pane now displays PDF files. The following bug was fixed! Viewer 4341634: PDF preview is not visible on 32bit outlook As an aside I had two email notifications of replies to my problem from sumitverma and horst.epp but neithe...

Automatically activate the Quick view pane after a search

It would be nice to have an option that allows the Quick view pane to be displayed automatically after a search is complete rather than have to select it manually every time.
With documents , for me, it is really useful to see contents for comparison purposes.

Update moved files in Search results pane

Is it possible to update the search results pane to reflect a move of files from the search pane to a new folder?
Currently a new 'Find' is required each time to see that they are now in a new folder.
The search pane represents a great way to relocate files found in the wrong folder

Unable to replace a file in the destination folder

When moving a file from one panel to the other by drag and drop and the file ALREADY exists in the destination panel, a box is displayed giving options. If 'Replace the file in the Destination' is chosen AND the destination Quick view panel is displaying the file (a pdf in this case), the operation ...

Re: Copying files freezes FreeCommander whilst copying

Thank you again, disabling 'Use blocking transfer' does the trick for 'Use Windows' and 'Use FreeCommander'.
'Help' does explain its use but it seems to be enabled by default. Thank you again for your help.

Thank you for the information on Queuing and I can see that in certain instances it can be quite quick select item(s) F5 F2 provided files are going to the same destination all the time. However, if you want to move your files to different destination folders all the time it will be a real pain havi...

Copying files freezes FreeCommander whilst copying

Copying large or multiple files from a folder in one panel to a folder in the other panel freezes FreeCommander completely. You have to wait for the progress window to complete before you can do anything else. I have tried using a separate instance of FreeCommander and copying between instances but ...

Re: loader Error on Selecting a raw camera image

Copying ielib32.dll to Windows\System32 ( or into Program Files(x86)\FreeCommander XE ) fixes the problem, I was copying ielib64.dll into Windows\SysWOW64 forgetting that my FreeCommander version is 32 bit. Thank You.

Re: Rename, tab key and Viewer

Some more observations: Using Tab will move down the screen but Shift Tab doesn't move up the screen as per windows explorer. It is very useful to use both to move up and down the screen quickly even if you don't rename every file. A work around I have used (instead of going back to Explorer) is to:...
