Never mind. It's apparently a Window's safety "feature". You have to right-click on the chm file and then unblock it.

Once upon a time, we didn't have to worry about the safety of help files

Just updated to the latest FC XE donor and also downloaded the help file, renamed the old one, and installed the new one in the data directory where the old *.chm file used to be.

But the right pane (the side with the all the information) is blank. It is blank for all topics.

When I tried to view ...

I do a right click on a tab and select "New file container tab"

It makes a new file container tab with a temp name.

Then I click on the File container icon with the "disk" sub-icon.

I get a dialog asking for a name.

I give it a name like "EXAMPLE"

I go to the file containers folder and the file ...

Settings (F12) > view > folder tabs > file container tab - you can change the path here.

The path is also in the address bar.

You can also lock the container tab.

But, the thing is, the specified file name given at the prompt never appears in that directory. So where does the .fcc file really ...

Currently I have a handful of file containers in the file container folder. I open one with an unhelpful name like TmpFileContainer-3. I use the little icon with the floppy disk on it to save the file. There's a dialog where I put in a new, e.g. "Study Files". But, the tab continues to have the ...

What about using F5 key to copy from local disk to FTP / other panel?

Thank you -- that seems to work. I would not have thought to look for "Copy with Dialog", and there's nothing about FTP in the help file except on the settings page. I suppose this is because it is a bit beta?

I'm able to access my web site, and see and download items, but I can't seem to cut/paste or drag-n-drop to upload anything. I searched this forum, but for some reason the term "FTP" brings up zero hits (maybe because it's only 3 characters??).

When I copy/paste I get a message about Calculating ...
