Can this be fixed - but permanently?

So, would it be possibile to mix in the best of the two behaviors; with an update? Or is this a limitation of FC and if I want This PC folder to have its own Auto Selectable View applied automatically / correctly, then I must bare the drawback of loosing the view chosen before navigating to it ...

I have pin-pointed the culprit in my

FreeCommander.ini

which is the

FileListFont_Size=

value - assuming I also use

FileListFont_Name=Segoe UI

The truncation happens if the FileListFont_Size value is set above 9 i.e. when the font is 10 or higher, but I can use e.g. 13 without side ...

For now, the closest workaround you can achieve is to use a block character like
for the option of

Tools > Settings > View > Folder > Folder Tabs > Tab Management > Mark locked tabs with this character

I simply forgot to turn off the

Multi rename > Settings > Search and replace > Exclude extension

option

There is this peculiar mismatch in treatment of full names


The name of item will succumb to replacement when user enters proper data in

I also get the same correct result when using default settings

But my personal settings truncate names of files

I do not know how more precisely descriptive I could possibly report this bug - therefore I will just ask this then:
