Not sure if it is a bug but when you click on Synchronise of two large partitions, or folders, you get the usual popup page but it can remain empty for quite a time. Just a white page with header + menu.

It would be better to have something on the page to show it is actually scanning. As it is you ...

I get a delay at first start.

I think its Windows Defender checking it out.

Open the Task Manager and watch the startup process.

It works as expected here.
Have you tried another memory stick?

It also 'fails' C Drive to C Drive.

What I think what is happening is that maybe I am expecting file sync to work in a different way to how it was designed.

I am using it as a way of backing-up files from the left to the right ...

You should check that in 'Compare folders' you have following settings set to on:
- Folder name
-- Size
-- Date of last change

Not sure why 'folders' isn't selected as default.
Maybe there aught to be a message that says 'identical ...

Folder/Compare doesn't look at the contents of nested folders.

1. Copy a C Drive folder, which has nested folders, to a memory stick.
2. Do Folder/Compare (Alt+V) of the main and the copy. Result 'Identical' => CORRECT

I was undoing an update to some of my files and had a problem with the backup. The following steps reproduce it;

1. Sync a folder on the C drive containing a new file called 'test.txt' to a memory stick. (Left C Drive -> Right Memory Stick)
2. Both folders are sync'd correctly.
3. Now open 'test ...
