Re: Copying list of directories and files

Hi and thanks for answering, I'm glad to hear the feature is already available. I never need to copy the details. I only always need the full paths + names version. However, I still regard my suggestion as a very good idea, because it utilizes the standard shortcut Ctrl+C and doesn't disturb any oth...

Re: Copying list of directories and files

If you want to see how it can work, I suggest taking a look at foobar2000 when copying a playlist entry, because it does exactly what I described.

What's your opinion on this?

Re: Command line parameters not correctly working

Windows security prevents normal tasks to control tasks running enhanced. I imagine there has to be a way for interprocess communication between a non-elevated and an elevated process, initiated by the non-elevated process. Stop running FC with enhanced rights. It is not needed for normal operation...

Command line parameters not correctly working

OS: Windows 10 FreeCommander version: FreeCommander XE 2016 Build 716 32-bit public beta Hello, I'm running FreeCommander elevated. When I'm running the following command line from a non-elevated process (like with Win+R), a new instance of FreeCommander is created instead of using the running one: ...

Re: File download dialog appears when just selecting a file!

Anyway, why in the world is a download window appearing when using a file browser? Because you have no plugins able to read those files. You can remove them from the Viewer settings (or use a plugin like sLister, for example): That's good to know. Thanks for the effort. Another problem I encountere...

Re: File download dialog appears when just selecting a file!

Thanks! That solved it. It was residing below the second files view which I have resized out of view. Anyway, why in the world is a download window appearing when using a file browser? As far as I can see, that should never happen. It's just strange. Another problem I encountered is that the second ...

Path length issues

Hello, because there were cases when a directory or file wasn't named as I told to name it, I did some testing with path lengths. Please copy the data into a text editor and inspect it with a monospace font (without wrapping lines). The file system is NTFS I know the number 260 is related to the MAX...

Copying list of directories and files

Hello, when you select directories and files and copy them only one type of clipboard data is copied. As you might know multiple clipboard formats can be copied at once. I think it would be a great and helpful feature for many if a file list would be copied as text as well in the order displayed. Yo...

Bugs of copy and paste in textbox of address bar

Hello, Begin renaming a directory or file to copy its name Directly click on the top of the address bar to edit it (maybe an option has to be enabled for this) Try to paste with Ctrl+V. That doesn't work. Pasting via the context menu, however, does work Try to select all text with Ctrl+A. That doesn...

Ctrl+Backspace for renaming

Hello, when renaming Ctrl+Backspace should be allowed to delete not a character, but a word or something like that. At this time you get a "rectangle character". I suggest not to view "words" seperated just by space characters; see some editors for a more narrow viewpoint on deletable "words". (Wind...

Tree view for directories to search in

Hello,

in the file search dialog please enable a tree view control with check boxes for the directories so search in. This lets you easily exclude subfolders.

Besides I have noticed that unfortunately the file search is very slow in contrast to what can be seen elsewhere.
