Step-by-Step Manual Registry Edit
Open Registry Editor: Press Win + R, type regedit, and hit Enter.


Navigate to the Extension Key: Go to the following path:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.txt

Please suggest a fix.
When activating folders tree (alt+t) FC crashing. Sometimes if FC closed with tree activated, it won't start after, so need to change ShowTree to 0.
FC does not write a report for this crashes.... Marek suggested to switch Tools>Settings>View>Tree>Management (tab) to drive, but ...
