Oh dear. Did some Googling, and now see that only a handful of file managers can do it (DirectoryOpus, XYplorer, Windows Explorer) and that it is actually very hard to code.

Thanks, but I more meant an address bar that you can actually click in and use, like the one in XYplorer.

This might sound stupid, but undo doesn't seem to work. Is there a setting I missed? How can I undo things?

I would like to be able to keep a text version of the address bar visible at all times and be able to dock it in a toolbar somewhere.

I am testing Free Commander because neither Directory Opus nor XYplorer work properly with Dropbox: if you make any changes to files/folders and Dropbox starts syning, they both slow down to a crawl because of an unresolved issue with the icon overlays.
