Re: Copy to user profile path (while tree is open) makes you go 1+ level(s) up
I experienced the same after upgrading to v903 Donor. In my case, it happens even if the setting Tree > Management > Show hidden folders is enabled.and it can cause *major* problems if you don't notice and start moving/deleting/copying into the new location. This was not happening with the prior ver...

Re: Very slow program start ?
@Marek I have disconnected every external drive, and used the default install setup, yet the problem continues. I looked at my work computer, which has no problem. One difference that I can't explain is that the Control Panel Installed Programs view shows *2* files for FC: - FreeCommander XE, 9/21/2...

Re: Very slow program start ?
Marek
yes I do have those settings.
Someone else suggested starting with a clean .ini file. There are several .ini files in the \appdata\local\...\settings directory; which one(s) should I remove?
Thanks

Re: Very slow program start ?
Hi Marek I tried the following: 1. disconnected every mapped drive 2. moved all files except shortcuts from my desktop 3. installed latest version Unfortunately it still happens. It takes about 3minutes or sometimes more to load FC. I noticed this about a couple of months ago, but since I leave my l...

Re: Very slow program start ?
I am baffled. I have uninstalled, cleaned pertinent registry entries, deleted FC folders including in APPDATA folders. Same problem. I confirmed every drive connected or mapped to the system will connect in FC (after it starts eventually); I disabled the antivirus temporarily to see if it had any ef...

Very slow program start ?
Has anyone else experienced *extremely* slow app startup when trying to run FC?
This started for me about 3 or 4 versions back; currently running FreeCommander XE 2022 Build 866 64-bit donor.
Thanks !!

Re: Windows 7 Libraries View
I am a new user and find the features in FC to be excellent. It does, IMHO, all the things that a file manager should do and many fall short including paid ones.
Having said that, I use the Windows libraries extensively, and I too would prefer to see them separately as in Windows Explorer.
Thanks
