This .reg file didn't work for me. I don't no why but I have found another way :

1. In freecommander : Settings-->Shell menu-->Add FC to context menu : tick folders and drives
2. Control panel--> folders options --> file type--> Go to Drives or Files folders, click on advanced, then set ...

AFAIK, it's a default windows behaviour : move if you D'D in the same logical drive , copy if you D'D in another logical drive (From C: to D: for example).
You can force copy by pressing CTRL key while D'Droping and move by SHIFT
In FC you can either show context menu by left buton drop and choose ...

Can these be resolved?
I don't think so. "Thumbnail" specifically shows images in FC, and , concerning viewing preferences, FC remember your choice by pane and tabs, not by folder, with the exception of saved layouts.

What I mean is: is there a way to select only some directories and synch them?
An important issue for me too. Within FC synchronizing tool, the sole solution I have found is a lame one : excluding folder by multiple selection (shift - arrow) as in this image

Do you use a file copy manager such as Supercopier ? Such softs sometimes cause some problems with the synchronizing function of FC.

I use to change colours of files groups directly, by editing freecommander.ini file.

I don't have a workaround to get a true My Computer view, but you can get quick access to all the My computers ...

I have tried QDir. A very good software, with a nice quadro view, but lot of FC smart features are missing ...
However it does have color coding in folder listings which has defaults set but these can be changed and new ones added for different file types.
FC doesn't have default set for colour ...
