This is my second try at this procedure. I followed all the instruction from these previous posts and I still can't get FC to default to My Computer and My Documents. Any further help is needed. Since my original post, I have since upgraded to the newest version of Aug 30, 2008.

define first FreeCommander for shell menu ( in FreeCommander Extras->Settings->Shell menu)
- open the Windows Explorer and go to Tools->Folder Options...
- activate the File Types tab
- select ...

New to FC and having trouble with making FC default File Manager.
I have been experimenting with various file managers and settled on Free Commander as my default File Manager. I made it default by doing the following registry entry which I found on this forum.
