Re: Context Menu and Icons
It appears to to be all executable files no matter what folders they're in. I tried the extracted for fixed drives option but all executable file icons are still generic and still no pin to start menu/taskbar. As I mentioned in the previous post everything is as it should be in Windows file manager....

Context Menu and Icons
I have Windows 10 Pro x64(Ver.2004) and FreeCommander Build 8.40. I have noticed that all program file(exe) icons are generic and "Pin To Start Menu"/"Pin To Taskbar" are missing from right click context menu. I check in Windows File Explorer and context menu/icons are as they sh...

Crashes in v8.26
I am getting many crashes working with files in v8.26(portable). At first I thought it was just on my BitLocked storage drive but now I'm getting crashes on my C drive which isn't BitLocked. Strangely it is not happening when opening files. It happens when moving, copying, closing etc.. It doesn't a...

Re: Two tabs same on file/folder side(right side)
Thanks, that did the trick. I've closed the duplicate tab before just clicking the X but never thought to save and backup the settings. Is there a place in the Tools/Settings to prevent duplicate tabs from showing? Thanks again. GregT

I know there must be a setting so that only one tab show on the file/folder list(right side of window) but I can't seem to find it. Consequently I have two tabs that are exactly the same. Any info on this?

It would be nice if there was an option to hide "Libraries" in the navigation pane. Any ideas on this option. GregT

Icons Change
I have had this problem through many versions, I'm on version 878 x64(portable) presently. When I open FC XE all icons are as they should be but after awhile of doing normal actions(copying, moving, deleting, opening, etc.) the icons change to all different icons. Some are fine but others change to ...

Re: Windows folder executables
OK I have this same problem on 3 different systems, 7x64 Home, 7x64 Pro and 8.1x64 Pro. I was wondering is this because I use the "Portable Version" on all of them. Any thoughts? GregT

Windows folder executables

I have opened the same executables in Windows Explorer with no prompt about the file being corrupted. Anybody else havi...

Re: New releases and backed up customized settings
I see fixes go in executables but I also see some improvement are tied to the FreeCommander.ini file. If I implement my custom settings the ini file does not have the improvements.

Re: New releases and backed up customized settings
I don't know if I was clear on my explanation. I download new portable versions(builds) as they come out then apply my backed up customized settings to the new build. My question is does this process break or wipeout the bug fixes and improvement that are implemented in the new build.

New releases and backed up customized settings
I use x64 portable version. Does restoring backed up customized settings wipeout or break some of the bug fixes and new features in new versions of FC XE?
