v831 vs v830 -- Layouts Lose Tree Panel
Hello. Environment: FCXE64 v831. Win10 x64 Finally got around to upgrading from a very reliable v824 to v830. Then I tested the latest v831 update but had problems. I use custom layouts a lot. When I open a dual-pane layout in v831 the bottom/second pane now does not open the tree pane on the left o...

Re: Versions After v824 Not Respecting Column Profiles?
Hello Marek. Thanks for the explanation and advice. Actually, I am happy to hear that an app has the ability to not rely on Windows scaling. (You must be using new tooling?) Especially with the pandemic and current rise in remote work (e.g, via Citrix), scaling in Win7/Win10 environments on remote d...

Re: Versions After v824 Not Respecting Column Profiles?
Hello Marek. I have attached three more bits of information: -- screenshots of the column sizes before and after the update to v830 from 824 -- an HTML diff file which I created to compare the v830_Raw to v830_Saved core user Dummy.INI file As I noted earlier, this same experience pre- and post- upd...

Re: Versions After v824 Not Respecting Column Profiles?
Hello Marek. I have attached three different backup files (renamed) of my settings in zipfile format: -- Dummy_v824 -- Dummy_v830_Raw -- Dummy_v830_Saved Basically, v824 is the baseline, pre-update version. v830_Raw is the immediate backup after the update, taken before I saved the settings. v830_Sa...

Versions After v824 Not Respecting Column Profiles?
Hello. Am currently running with FCXE64 v824 on Win10 v1909. Just testing the waters to see if anyone else has the same issue as myself. I use layouts frequently. Also, I use a custom column profile, which is automatically applied because I move it to the top of the profile list. Ever since v825 and...

Re: Layouts -- Ignore Main Window Size And Position
Thanks, Marek.
I guess this solution basically requires an external-to-FCXE approach with a scripting tool which does INI-line replacement.
Will go to the Feature Request forum section to add a wish for a FCXE-menu-option route to change this INI setting.
Thanks, again.

Layouts -- Ignore Main Window Size And Position
Hello. My environment: FCXE64 v819 in Win10_x64. I really like the recent new option for a custom layout to "ignore main window size and position". Perhaps I am missing something, but is there a general toggle somewhere in FCXE64's settings where you can trigger this option for _all_ layou...

Re: Creeping Size Of Folder Tree Display In Dual Panel Mode
dsperber: Thanks for the confirmation of my problem, and also for the tip to revert back to v819. Your screenshots match my experience. By the way, a quick tip if you revert back and forth between versions: Add the current version number to the title bar: Tools |Settings | View | Main Window Title |...

Re: recent through 767: initial lower-left pane too wide
Hello.
Sorry for this second post. I forgot to summarize the point I wished to make. Namely, this problem can impact either the upper or lower left tree pane.

Cecil.

Re: recent through 767: initial lower-left pane too wide
Hello. dsperber, thanks for posting this bug report. I was just about to report the exact same issue. My usage of FCXE64 is very similar to your experience. The additional twist to this bug which I noticed is this: When you are already using the split mode (whether via F10, or calling a custom layou...

Re: FCXE64 v764 -- Really Fat Status Bar In Single Pane Layout
Thanks, Marek. I have an update on this issue. (Marek, I assume you are already aware, but I'm just posting it for other forum members.) Originally my problem was revealed while switching from a custom horizontal dual-pane to a custom single-pane layout. I finally got a chance to also test it by swi...

FCXE64 v764 -- Really Fat Status Bar In Single Pane Layout
Hello. Have tested this in both Win7 and Win10 x64 environments. Using FCXE64 v764. I use saved layouts frequently. Some are dual-pane (horizontal), others are single pane. With v764 (and v763 too), the following behaviour occurs: If the opening layout is set to a custom single-pane one, it opens fi...
