Hello,

is it possible to set FC to save layouts automatically:
- on exit
- when switching between layouts

?

I have FC XE 2014 Build 650.

I use tree view. (The left pane with the directory structure and the right pane wiht the files/directories in the directory which is selected on the left pane.)

I have 1 SSD, 2 HDDs, 1 Optical drive and 4 mapped network drives.

I have ticked the checkbox "Load ...

Lock tab ===> when you click on close button, the prompt dialog appears
Lock tab - no navigation ====> same as above + if you try to navigate out of locked folder path, this path will appear in separate tab
Lock tab - navigation to subfolders ===> same as first line + when you navigate on parent ...

Feature implemented, if you want all locked tabs to remember last folder path, set option in freecommander.ini

TabRestoreLastPathForAll=1

I have the same problem. With mapped network drives, startup time of FreeCommander extends up to one minute, regardless of its network settings (for example "Load network in background process on program start".

Could somebody please help and fix this issue or provide a setting which disables ...

I agree. It would be a very useful and user-intuitive feature.

Please add a feature similar to an old "explorer from here" command in Windows XP, when you could open a windows explorer with tree starting from selected folder as a root, when you right clicked on it and chose "explorer from here" command.

FreeCommander is the most useful folder explorer available. I use it on every occasion when working with computers.

The only feature that I miss is remembering the last opened folders in all tabs that are locked to folders with allowed navigation to subfolders at exiting FC, which is described here ...

is it possible to configure Freecommander to remember each folder's column sort settings?

For example, I want C:\Windows to be sorted by date, C:\Movies by size, and all other folders with default sort settings (by name). Each time I open C:\Windows and C:\Movies, they will be sorted by ...

Donor version v650 still does not restore last folder position for all tabs with option "locked - navigation to subfolders", but only for tabs active at FreeCommander shutdown.

Please fix this bug, i find this feature very important. Thanks.

As of v645 XE donor version, the bug has been fixed only for currently active tabs.

Example:

Left pane, open tabs L1, L2, L3 (all with option "Lock folder tab - navigation to subfolders")
Right pane, tabs R1, R2, R3 (all with option "Lock folder tab - navigation to subfolders").

Every open tab ...

I realized this bug was posted in false board. It applies to FreeCommander XE (beta) and not "regular" FreeCommander.

Version: donor preview version 636
System: XP/7
Tab mgmt settings: attached

Description (folder paths are just an example):

1. You select folder "C:\WINDOWS" in one tab and set it to "Lock folder tab" or "Lock folder tab ...

I donated and tried the "donor preview version 636".

The bug still exists. It spoils the idea of locked tabs for me. I would be very grateful to get this fixed.
