The first "When viewing PDF files, neither File|Close nor the red "X" will close the viewer." is working normal in my 621 I can always close the pdf.


Using Windows 7 X64, and it doesn't work for me.

Is the "Ctrl+Q" behavior normal? I don't think so. Hitting Ctrl+Q toggles the viewer panel ...

I do this in this way, but option one, Start with last used folder, is also working:

I vote for this one, never seen this, but it looks to me perfect, then there is always a way back.
And all the others don't have this, as far as I know....

I can confirm this, what Dreamer and Timon find out, here the same. (625)

For me it is with FCXE 625 the same as alf5000, when the USB stick is open in an FCXE tab, it can't be ejected. After closing the tab, I can eject the stick.
I find the working perfect, maybe an extra button for drive eject...??, not needed, but maybe logic.

You where talking about 2, 7zip and Zip and I only about 7zip ...

For:
Total7Zip you should use %FcSrcPath%\plugins\wcx\Total7zip\7z.sfx
fcZip you should use %FcSrcPath%\FCSFXStub.exe

In that case everything would be fine with icon when packing SFX

Yep your right, but I think its different with me now, when I changed the path in %FcSrcPath% then its
indeed ...

In 623 for internal fcZip use FCSFXStub.exe as "SFX stub" to have ability to create SFX files:

C:\Program Files\FreeCommander XE\FCSFXStub.exe


Thanks Timon, I did not look in the Folder from FCXE but only in 7zip and the working is almost the same,
only the Icon from 7z is not made now, but its ...

In version 623 from FCXE is a extra setup option in Zip/Unzip:

Correct in my 621 its working normal, when I check the option search in archives, also in a selfextracter is FCXE searching good.

When viewing PDF files, neither File|Close nor the red "X" will close the viewer.

Closing FC closes both FC and the PDF viewer.

EDIT: I have also discovered that the quickview window (CTL+Q) will not close when viewing PDF files. It closes fine on other file types.

Confirmed that even FC XE 621 could not make SFX archive with exe extension using Total7Zip without additional tricks.
Total Commander 8 make SFX archive using Total7Zip without any problems.

Good what did I do after I find out that 7zip works now, only not the selfextracter, I thougth I fool the FCXE program by using a unknow extention (sfx, not zip or 7z...) when you use this the configuration screen from 7zip ...
