"Select an App to Open this File" when viewing Pictures
When I click on an image (JPG or PNG) to view it inside FC, I get this message all the time: https://imgur.com/a/upzIMcC
Is there some option I can click on, to eliminate having to click through this?
I am on Windows 11, FWIW.

Re: Two FC Questions
That's fine.
I was just instinctively looking for a view mode called "Icons," because with a thumbnail view, I assumed that each doc (each PDF or DOCX) would have a thumbnail of its first page or whatever, created. I thought that would consume unnecessary system resources, but I see now that a ...

Re: Two FC Questions
OK, now I still would like an Icon view as my default. I see how to have FC show a list view, or thumbnails. But how do I get icons (different for each file type)?
Dreamer, in your first reply you gave me a link. I didn't see in that page, how to set up an Icon view in my folders.

Re: Two FC Questions
You pointed me in the right direction. I thought I had checked this before, but I looked at the Syllbus settings and found that it was still not set to sort by date, but by name. I set the settings at the bottom, to sort by date, and all is well.

Re: Two FC Questions
I posted a screenshot, both of the Settings dialog and of the FC window. I removed the Images item, and nothing changed.
As you can see from the folder view, the files are not arranged according to date modified.

Yeah, I pasted your code in, and still nothing. Interesting, perhaps a bug as you said? I dunno. Thanks anyways for this.
Dreamer wrote: 23.02.2023, 19:49 I tried the same and it was not working either, I'm not sure if it's a bug.
Try this Condition, exactly the same:

Re: Two FC Questions
No, the icons was a different issue.
When I say "arrange according to date," what I mean is that I want the files in a particular folder to be sorted by date, not by name.
The normal display/sort for folders is by name, and in most cases I'm fine with that. But this one folder, I prefer files ...

Re: Way to have FC display thumbnails only for graphics, icons for all other files?
Thanks, Dreamer. I went ahead and did this. I went into my settings to set up an automatic view, and have a view name Photo, and the condition field has this in it:
*.jpg; *.png; *.jpeg; *.bmp
I have the view set for Thumbnail, but in a folder full of jpegs, I still see icons.

Re: Way to have FC display thumbnails only for graphics, icons for all other files?
The best I can do is just set the folder for Thumbnail view, and then tell FC to not show thumbnail for PDF, DOC, RTF, etc.
I guess that's the way to go here.
Problem with that view, is that the icons for the text files are much too big for my tastes and for what I need, when I use the thumbnail ...

Re: Way to have FC display thumbnails only for graphics, icons for all other files?
I did check that page, but I still didn't see a way to show thumbnails only for folders with lots of graphics (or simply, thumbnails for graphics only). I can go into FC view menu, and switch from icon view to thumbnail view, but that changes the view setting for all files.
