Re: Win+E opens in background
Just a note regarding wiN+e functionality, just updated to Windows 24H2 64bit and the same problem returned the first start of FC after that update. Since then everything seems to work fine.

Re: Win+E opens in background
This seems to have resolved the issue. I did have to tell Windows 11 the new FCWinERdirect.exe was OK to use and after that the initial win+E did start in the background, After that it worked great.
Thanks very much Marek

Thanks Dreamer.
Maybe this should be a sticky post or even added to help?

Mouse actions
A list if default keyboard shortcuts can be found here https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/Keyboardshortcuts.html .
Is there a list of mouse action shortcuts (I can't find one)?
For example I learnt in my previous post here https://freecommander.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=40152#p40152 that you ...

Open/create folder in new tab
I have spent the afternoon looking for a way to either:
1. Create a new folder and for that folder to be automatically opened in a new tab - OR
2. Open an existing folder in a new tab

Re: When I click on my Google Drive link it opens file explorer
You can create a standard windows shortcut on your taskbar with the following string in the Target field
"C:\path to freecommander executable" /T "G:\My Drive"
"C:\path to freecommander executable" /T "G:\My Drive"

Re: Accessibility options
I have spent the past few days checking out NC mode and yes it does do the "sticky" very well however I feel it changes a lot of other things in ways that makes FreeCommander act like a non-native windows app.
I still like the option to add an additional column that does the sticky function of NC ...

Accessibility options
With or without knowing it, freeCommander is fairly accessible however everything can be improved.
It could be said the following items could be considered accessible options
Themes
Font size within different areas
Icon sizes
File colour based on type

Re: Paths longer than 255 characters
So after reading the associated article I am still not any the wiser to the answer to the big question: With or without the below registry entry does FC support filenames and/or paths longer than 260 characters?
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem]
"LongPathsEnabled"=dword ...

Re: Tooltips not Showing
I would have a look at Help->Contents->Search. Search for tooltip. There are a number of instance where tooltips come into play. I would turn off all, save settings (Tools->Save settings) then turn back on what you want and save settings again.

Finding video files
I have done a bit of research and have put together a Find filename filter for video files and thought someone might find it useful.
*.mov;*.mp4;*.wmi;*.avi;*.flv;*.f4v;*.swf;*.webm;*.html5
After finding this I created a profile to find video files.

Re: Change tree collapse except icon
Actually they are not the same. The arrow on bottom left corner is white on blue for "collapse all nodes in the tree view" and is white on yellow for "collapse all nodes, except selected node, in the tree view"
