Very many thanks, Joby Toss.
"Follow location changes in the active panel" is fairly clear.
Being new to FC I missed this option because
the wording has been changed in FC XE 601 which I am using.
The new wording in FC XE is "Follow external address changes"
I don't understand this, or why the ...

FC (like Windows Explorer) "synchronizes" the folder tree with the active panel.
This can be annoying with 2 panels because the folder tree changes when one switches between panels.
It would be very nice if FC could give the option to toggle this synchronization off.

Re: 100% CPU usage wth FC XE 601 Folder Tree Display on
The 100% cpu usage problem I complained aboutyesterday has vanished today!!
Presumably this is because I restarted XP today.
i.e. yesterday XP somehow got confused or a glitch.
Next time there is a problem I must restart system before complaining.
FC is great. Many Thanks.

FC XE 601 is great BUT it seems to have a major defect, namely:-
100% cpu usage if the folder tree is displayed
immediately after any create, rename or move of files.
Over 80% of this 100% cpu usage is due to FC.
This seems to be a BUG in FC because similar problems never occur with Windows ...
