Extras >> Settings >> View >> Sorting
What you call "correct sorting" is mathematical sorting of filenames with numbers (in FC called natural sorting). This is a feature of explorer since Win XP.
A filename with numbers is not really a number; an "correct" sorting is alphabetically. But ...

Free Commander version 2007.10a Windows XP SP2
When I sort a list by name either ascending or descending the listing isn't in pure numerical order with numbers in the file name. For example:
Fig 1-1
Fig 1-11
Fig 1-12
Fig 1-13
Fig 1-2
Fig 1-20
Fig 1-3
Fig 1-30
Ideally it should sort as:
Fig 1-1 ...

I think the batch rename option would be great particularly with the uppercase option. I have to have files with the uppercase letter at the start of each word in the file name and currently go through by hand and do the rename. If the uppercase option could be used as a function by itself as well ...
