Is there somewhere an explanation what "NC mode" and "use blocking transfer" does mean for drag&drop?

This because drag&drop to some target applications work with "use blocking transfer" disabled and others not.
What are the pros and cons of this "blocking" option? Anyhow this option saved my ...

The shell discussion in this forum I quite spread und unclear about exact windows version.
However I am wondering why the donor beta does not include the mentioned area:

E x tras -> Settings... -> ShellMenu (this is just NOT there)

Which version do I need for this feature?
Is this a limitation ...

With digital photo files, there is a problem with the default "Modified" column.
I never change the time of my camera between winter and summer and i report here of course
only about files with are copied from SD card without any modification.
