Language settings only partially applied
What happens: you change the language of the UI in the settings. The language of the menu bar is changed correctly, but the shortcut menu of the Favorites pane only changes after restart. How to reproduce (supposing you have the UI language set to English): 1. Go to Tools > Settings > General > Lang...

Re: 875 - Crash when moving or deleting files with "OneDrive Status" visible
FreeCommander XE 2022 Build 875 64-bit donor I have the same issue after installing 875 this morning. I made the OneDrive column visible and then proceeded to delete a file. This causes the application to crash. In the bug report I see this: exception message : Trying to create a TNamespace on a non...

Multi rename wildcard button is hidden
I want to affix a string to the basename of a number of files. For example, I have: Foo1.txt Foo2.txt Foo3.txt ...and I want to rename those to: Foo1_BAR.txt Foo2_BAR.txt Foo3_BAR.txt I select the three files and launch Multirename. In Multirename dialog, when I input '*' in the Search for field and...

Re: Format of output from Compute Checksums dialogs has changed
...and now I noticed that it seems to make a difference if I select ONE or MULTIPLE files. With multiple files, the behavior is as before, with (in my opinion) "correct" output to the clipboard. But that is not the case if I run the checksum for a single file - in that case the file name i...

Format of output from Compute Checksums dialogs has changed
Hi, I don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but leaning towards bug. I routinely select a file in FreeCommander and press CTRL + K to bring up the Compute Checksums dialog. I normally use SHA256 for checksum method. I have checked both Store checksums and Create separate SHA256-files for each fi...

Question about color scheme (Win 10)
Hi, I am using FreeCommander XE 2019 (currently Build 807 64-bit donor) and really how easy it is to switch between color schemes, without having to restart the application. Works great. I have tweaked my own dark theme, which is to my liking except I cannot figure out how to make the column heading...

Re: [775] New zip naming issue
FreeCommander XE 2018 Build 775 64-bit donor, Windows 7 I can confirm the problems already listed in this thread. One addition: if you change the format, that file extension will simply be tacked on. Suppose I want to create a Zip archive of test.txt, I get: C:\Temp1\freec\test.zip.zip Then I select...

Re: Color schema
Hi Marek, I would like to share my (dark) color scheme. Could you please provide some additional information on exactly what to share. Is it "FreeCommander.lay.ini" under "SETTINGS"? I think that also holds information that I would not like to share, like what default tabs I have...

Re: Using an external search program
You could add File Locator Pro to the favorite toolbar, then assign a keyboard shortcut to it. You can pass in parameters that way, too, if that is relevant. Anyways, at least bringing up the search interface would just be a keyboard shortcut away.

Re: Can I copy a tab to the same panel
Hi Oren, Unless I am missing something here, it seems to me that is exactly how the "no navigation" feature works. That is, I have a tab that is set to "Lock folder tab - no navigation". If I double-click on a subfolder, that will open up in a new tab to the right. Other related ...

Re: Copy folder structure without files
Hi Patrick, I don't of any function in Freecommander itself for this, but it is easy enough to do without leaving the application 1. Go to the top of the tree structure that you want to copy. 2. Press CTRL + D to open a DOS box in that folder (alternatively select on the Tools menu select DOS Box......
