It is another small missing thing:

1. In FC open the folder with two files:
a.txt
b.txt
2. Hover the mouse cursor above the a.txt - the a.txt popup box si shown - ok
3. Go above b.txt - the b.txt popup box is shown - ok
4. Go to the empty space below b.txt - no popup box - ok
5. Go above b.txt ...

Small thing which I have been missing for long in FreeCommander:

1. in FC open folder with a text file, say test.txt
2. open Notepad - it is in the foreground - ok
3. move Notepad in such way, that FC is partly covered by Notepad, but not the line with test.txt - ok
4. try to drag and drop test.txt ...

Confirmed in version 558.

My descriptions of the steps:

- Settings: Default (by deleting all .ini files in folder C:\Users\marcel\AppData\Local\FreeCommanderXE\Settings)
- In the left panel: create folder C:\TEST\TEST_FOLDER
- In the left panel: go to C:\TEST\TEST_FOLDER
- In the tree: right-click ...

Please, could you explain me in better detail what I should do to compare the files?

- I have C:\moje_programy\ExamDiff\ExamDiff.exe.
- I created folder C:\TEST
- I created two simillar text files
___ C:\TEST\d1.txt
___ and
___ C:\TEST\d2.txt

- I started FreeCommander version 2009.02b
- I ...

Great. With the new FcContextMenu64.zip it works.

OK, I can reproduce it only if I click on the tree for highlighting the pane.

Now I do not know if it is reproducible or not.

Should I describe the bug in deeper detail?

To highlight the right panel I simply click into the panel, e.g on the ".." (= parent folder sign). Or on the space anywhere ...

Option "File: Compare text files" is accessible
and also "Extras: Settings: Programs: Compare files:" is accessible
and I installed and used ExamDiff in the settings
but FC does nothing.

Probably not implemented, yet, I guess.

Fixed. Great.

Minor suggestion: to set colors of grid and also tree items in better detail.
It would be nice to be able

- to set up color of the grid lines
- - reason: when using not default colours, like white-on-black, the grid is too bright
- to set up tree items in better detail

Not fixed. The bug is still there as described.

I tested it now by using the default settings (by deleting all .ini files in C:\Users\marcel\AppData\Local\FreeCommanderXE\Settings).

(BTW, it would be nice to have possibility to switch to default settings while dealing with debugging.)

In the version 558 it is still there.
I hope the following description will be clearer:

Steps:
- create folders
__ C:\TEST\TEST_LEFT_A
__ C:\TEST\TEST_LEFT_B
and
__ C:\TEST\TEST_RIGHT_A
__ C:\TEST\TEST_RIGHT_B
- in the LEFT panel: click title to display history
- in the LEFT panel: select "Clear ...

In FreeCommander 2009.02b
the function Synchronize has problem with the files containing Unicode characters like "ľščťžýáíé" etc.
(I understand that it is not time to implement Unicode, but:)
