Thanks for pointing this out. Why is this not on by default? What is the use case? If I've installed an app that has overlay icons, of course I want to see them... If not I'll disable them in that app and be done with it. It isn't up to the file manager to decide (at least from my point of view).

I have FCXE set up to always open in my home folder (C:\Users\username), and when I start it, instead of having only one tab with that folder open at startup, there will be one tab with the last open folder when FCXE was closed, and then the tab with my home ...
