Thanks for pointing this out. Why is this not on by default? What is the use case? If I've installed an app that has overlay icons, of course I want to see them... If not I'll disable them in that app and be done with it. It isn't up to the file manager to decide (at least from my point of view).

Hello, I've switched to FCXE recently as it seems stable enough for regular use, good work!
It does not seem to show icon overlays (such as the ones from TortoiseSVN) on folders in the tree though. I see the overlays in the file list on the right side (both file lists if I use dual pane mode) but ...

I second this, also using public rel 550. I have FCXE set up to always open in my home folder (C:\Users\username), and when I start it, instead of having only one tab with that folder open at startup, there will be one tab with the last open folder when FCXE was closed, and then the tab with my home ...
