How can I get my schools VPN network info? my school has a VPN network and in order to get on it from my iPod touch during my study hall I need the info...I'm the only 8th grader and no teacher supervises me during stdy hall so I'm bored...how can I get the needed info ...

Can VPN connection reduce my internet bandwidth to 345Kbps? I have 1Mbps in one end and 2Mbps on the other endpoint. Will I be able to use the full 1Mbps limit if using VPN connection(PPTP or with IPSec)?
