Icons in taskbar depending on layout or active tab
Hi,
I use two monitors plus virtual desktops (here: virtuawin with plugin i-conized for switching desktops, shows icons of the opened programs).
I run more than 1 instance of fc quite often (different layouts).
All these instances show the same logo in taskbar and in i-conized, while explorer passes ...

Re: include visibility of custom toolbars in layouts
Hi, joby_toss,
yes, that helps reducing the clutter, but it has the disadvantage of increasing the number of mouse clicks by 100% and it seems that the icon-size beyond the categories is limited. In total this is annoying, time consuming and more prone to use the wrong button.

tab formatting
hi,
I suggest that formatted tabs can be assigned more easily to a new folder.
scenario1: Imagine you organized parts of your data in a structured manner on a yearly basis that means top folders 2014, 2015 and subfolders.
with some efforts you assigned tabs to some of the subfolders.

layouts and toolbars/buttons
Hi,
I suggest that layouts cover further settings, like
visibility and content of action/favorite toolbars, additional visible elements (background color), and perhaps even filters.
I cover a lot of different fields at work and at home, and despite I try to automate as much as possible by scripts ...

Position of filter dialogue
I placed the icon for calling the filter dialogue into the splitter. as far as I remember the filter dialogue popped up nearby. in the actual version it pops up in the upper left corner of the left pane, which is quite far away especially on a big monitor...

Text Color of activated tab
in tab properties you can define whether the individual colors shall also apply for the activated tab.
however, this is not available for the text. the text color is coming from settings | folder tabs | tab colors. it can obviously only be set globally.
