Re: Couldn't restore settings from saved Backup
Hi, I have the same issue when trying to copy my settings onto a different PC. The 'Restore Settings' action asks permission to overwrite the existing files but then interrupts the overwrite process with a warning that the "Freecommander.ini" filename is the same. The warning only offers &...

Build 742 64-bit donor - missing error
When attempting to re-name a file in the right-hand pane of FreeCommander when it is already open in other software (e.g. a PDF file open in a Viewer), the action cannot be completed but the error warning generated by FreeCommander appears in the left-hand pane. The warning is not highlighted by use...

Re: Sort columns do not respond to clicking
I also have this column-sort issue after recovering from sleep (caused by closing my laptop). Glad to see that there may be an alternative to the shutdown and restart of FC I currently do.
Please 'sort' this problem.

Re: Please? How Turn Off Column Auto-Sizing?
I have been cursing XE 650 for this reason. With the column widths in default, if I change the column with in Detailed view (by dragging the column boundary to a reasonable width) and then double-click on a Word file (to load it into Word) the column width gets reset to automatic when I close Word a...

Re: 613 - List View - Column Widths
Thanks for that.
It works fine, but to totally solve the problem I had to define separate Folder-specific column widths for the 'My Computer' folder and for the 'Desktop' folders in each of the left and right panes.

Re: 613 - List View - Column Widths
Sorry, my mistake - I should have said Detail view not List.
Has that also come up before?

613 - List View - Column Widths
Default Column width for "Name" when using using list view in a folder is 0, which appears to be taken as 'maximise'. 'Setting' this to 30 works fine. However, the column width when selecting the Desktop or PC name in the folder list has a different set of very wide column widths. I couldn...

Re: Full folder path for the networkk mapped drive files
The other ways to "Copy Full Path to Text" (i.e. using the Menu and Toolbar Commands) should be made consistent to provide the same command options. I spent a lot of time trying various configurations of the Menu and Toolbars before finding this thread. My frustration caused me start looki...

Re: Single tree for both panes
Personally I found the extra distance to travel from the single tree to the second pane enough to make me prefer the option of a tree in each pane. However, it occured to me that putting the tree between the two panes may make it more useful - could you please include this option?

File/Text Search
Could I suggest some limits be applicable to the file/text search so that the search could be limited to specific folders within a drive? Our project folders at work are structured by client/project number/discipline/topic and it would be useful to be able to: 1 search for a specific project number ...

Re: Separate Folder Tree for each TAB
Sorry but I may not have been as clear as I should. The project folders are sub-folders of the same network drive (on a Novell fileserver, if that makes any difference). I create a 'locked' TAB for each project I am working on currently If I expand a project folder in one TAB then that same folder i...

Separate Folder Tree for each TAB
I use TABs to view separate project folders within a single network drive. The folder tree display is common for each network drive which means that for each TAB it shows the folder levels for all the TABs accessing that drive.
Could the folder tree for each TAB be made independent of the other TABs?
