Re: Function Copy and Delete

By default, TC uses its own copying and deleting functions/mechanisms, but not Windows Explorer API.
However, it is possible to configure TC to copy using the Explorer. Some details are explained in TC FAQ

Re: How to display native Windows Explorer context menu?

And the solution should not be that users are required to install both the 32 bit and the 64bit context menu extension/application in order to have its context menus available in 32bit client applications.. You know that FreeCommander is Freeware? It's irrelevant comment. There is a software, softw...

dude wrote:That thread is about the 32-bit vs 64-bit issue as far as I can see.
This is one of Dreamer's conclusion, but I'm not convinced to it.

TotalCommander runs as 32-bit and I can open context menu on my 64-bit system.
I presume it's FreeCommander's problem.

Re: How to display native Windows Explorer context menu?

Now I understand what you mean.

Perhaps Marek could judge feasibility of this feature as he digs the code.

Another solution is to add svn client to extras and assign shortcuts to fire up some commands like svn update, commit, diff.

Re: Launch and restore on the same screen

Thanks for the suggestion, but it sounds like a bit ridiculous prosthesis. Programs are to solve this kind of tedious problems. It is not any technical problem to save windows position and restore it on launch.

p.s. if FC was Open Source, I'd just fix it myself :-)

The idea of bounties for feature requests

Hi, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to setup a simple mechanism for bounty -driven feature requests. Here is the overview of the idea: There is a list of features and idea requested by community of users The development team suggests a quote how much potentially a particular feature would c...

I also second this feature (initially replied to one of the other threads about plugins).

Re: Probably an often asked question.....

Kudos to Marek for FC. Great work in deed!

I also wanted to ask for API for plug-in modules. It would be great to have ability to extend FC features.

Move to command line with keyboard shortcut

Hi, The FC (Free Commander) provides this brilliant feature as command line. The TC (Total Commander) has similar brilliant feature but, additionally, it allows to move cursor to the command line by hitting right arrow (cursor) key. I can't find relevant shortcut available, so I assume this feature ...

Re: How to display native Windows Explorer context menu?

I'm confused. How the context menu feature may depend on target architecture of system? There is only one binary image provided to download . It is, only 32-bit is provided and I run this 32-bit version on 64-bit Windows Vista. I hardly see how the 32 vs 64 bit issue applies. By the way, menu option...

Re: Launch and restore on the same screen

Yes, not maximized option works well. Thanks!
However, it seems a bit tedious to remember to de-maximize each and every time before closing.
So, I'd like to keep my feature request up :-)

Launch and restore on the same screen

Hi, I'm not sure if I should report it as a bug or feature request. I use 3 screens and most of applications remember location of their windows (last location), for instance Firefox, also Windows Explorer or TC save their position as well. So, when I launch new instance of application, its window is...
