Losing filters

I recently started using filters in FreeCommander (v 2009.02a, WinXP SP3).
I successfully added a couple filters via the Set Filter dialog (Ctrl+F). I could then apply them in the main window as well as in the Synchronize Directories window, where I really want to use them. Some time later (and I ...

Side-by-side nested zip files show the wrong file lists

I have two versions of a zip file that contains a collection of smaller zip files. If I drill into version A on the left and version B on the right in the outer zip files, they display the contents correctly. But if I drill into one of the nested zip files on either side, then *both* sides display ...

Add a "set-timestamp-to-now" command

You already have a way to set the file modified time (under File >> Attributes/Timestamp). I use that frequently but 99% of the time I always do the same operation--set the modified time to "now". Currently this requires 4 steps:
(1) Shift-Enter.
(2) Click "Set timestamp" checkbox.
(3) Click ...

Instead of continuing back and forth with me saying it does not work and you saying it does :-) here is a test scenario for you:
Define filter A with include specs.
Define filter B with exclude specs.
Define filter C with include specs.
Open synchronize and open filter choices.
Expected result ...

You addressed my second point, but not the first: any filters I add--whether they are include filters or exclude filters--do *not* show up in the synchronize sub-window.

Cannot apply defined filters in Synchronize

Though the help file seems to indicate one could apply a filter defined in the main window when in the synchronize sub-window, this is not the case. The filter box in synchronize is only showing the 3 entries that came out of the box: *.* and .exe.com and .txt.doc. Any ones I added in the main ...

Performance issues with File Searches

The search function (Alt+F7) of FreeCommander suffers from performance issues. I have long used a similar product (ExplorerPlus from Novatix) that I am moving away from in favor of FreeCommander, because I like FreeCommander better in general. However, their search is an order of magnitude faster ...

Synchronize directories notes

-- Inside "synchronize directories" one should be able to use the same shortcut as in the main window (ctrl-alt-v) to compare windows instead of requiring the use of the context menu to do it.

-- The "synchronize directories" window should show itself on the task bar; it is odd that if the window ...

lock up on large file

In version 2007.10a I came across the following:
I have a directory containing an 8.2GB file. Just single-clicking on the file name causes the program to lock up. I suspect that it is really just reading the file for some reason and I was not patient enough to wait for it to finish. In either case ...
