Re: Can't see a Hidden System Directory
if going to a folder through environment variable %XX% takes to some other folder, that is another issue.
but when we went to c: then to windows then to system32 then to drivers, by clicking one by one in fc window, then it has not taken help of any of windows environment variable %XX%, then why ...

Re: why (file/ folder) (move/copy) behavior are different in fc and win-explo
both settings are already as per you described.
I changed settings, applied, changed them again to what it were earlier and as you described.
Now I left-click moved two folders and it worked correctly.
previously, I often and always faced problem of getting copied instead of moved.
Thanks.

My tooldbar's Dos-Admin doesn't open in current folder
I think it is not fc's default, I had created this toolbar entry following suggestions at this site.
My tooldbar does show "Dos-Admin" but it doesn't open in current folder, in opens in system32, I think.
I have defined in the MYTools entry script the following: (you would understand where what ...

I had the same question (and problem) that I couldn't find system32\drivers\etc folder and this folder's contents in fc, but windows explorer showed everything promptly.
even system32\drivers shows only some 4-5 entries ...

repeat request - release a 64 bit version for non-donors
Most of the things have slowly migrated to 64 bits. Free commander is one of the daily use tools that is still on the (deprecated) 32 bit architechture.
Doesn't feel modern and latest enough.
please consider releasing at least one 64 bit version for non-donors. if not the latest, may be an older ...

Re: folder deletion in right pane doesn't reflect in left pane
You mean I just install somewhere else and test whether left column is getting updated or not, without even needing to transfer my existing settings to that, and then delete that?
Good enough. Shall surely do.
Thanks.

Re: folder deletion in right pane doesn't reflect in left pane
I don't want to go to portable version as that is to be manually maintained for installation and data location.
Windows standard installation takes care of program files, and then I can manage my data settings.

Can't confirm in the latest version 810a 32-bit public, if you're using older version, please upgrade to this one first.
It has been happening for years, so I don't think it is version or OS related.
Thanks.

folder deletion in right pane doesn't reflect in left pane
If I delete a folder in right pane, the same folder continues appearing in left pane, thus creating confusion whether it didn't actually get deleted,
we have to go to right pane, click refresh and then it disappears.
I think, and folder deletion should automatically be reflected in both panes ...

fc hangs on Deleting any folder from left pane
For decade, I have been noticing that if I deleting any folder from left pane, fc hangs.
